Waving Hello

Today's card was created for the current Lawnscaping challenge which features a gorgeous mood board.

I started with a piece of Watercolor paper and blended three different blue distress inks into the piece to create an ombre effect. I then flicked some water droplets over the piece and bleached away a little of the color. I used the Snow Drifts die cut to cut the piece down as well as a piece of white cardstock. I adhered the white frame to a Fog Gray card base and then pieced the watercolor pieces into the white frame to look like waves.

I stamped each of my images and colored them in using Copics. I cut them out using my Brother Scan N Cut 2 (so nice not to have to buy a bunch of dies!). I cut a banner using a die and then carefully heat embossed the sentiment in the center. I folded along the score lines to create the folded banner and adhered it to my card front with some foam tape. I added some clear Wink of Stella to the mermaid's tail (because mermaids should always have sparkly tails!) and some glossy accents to the narwhal's horn. I adhered each image with some more foam tape and then finished the card with a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

As you can probably tell, I used the main colors from the board, but I also took the little black circle with the white writing as inspiration for my sentiment.
