Beach Please

Today's card was created for the current CASology challenge - Beach. I'm just starting to make Autumn themed cards, so it's nice to go back to my summer stamps for a little bit. Not to mention that it's still over 100 degrees where I live, so summer seems to fit the climate better!

I created my card base and then used a stencil to blend in my blue waves using a mini ink blending tool. I stamped my image, colored her with Copics, and then cut her out with my Brother Scan N Cut 2. After figuring out where I wanted to place her, I was then able to place my sentiment as well. I used my MISTI to get a perfect impression with the sentiment. (And thank goodness I did because I had to stamp it twice!) I adhered my girl using some foam tape and then added a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear sequins to finish it off.

The Challenge 77

Hello and welcome to a brand new challenge from Always Playing with Paper's The Challenge! This week is a fun color challenge!

These colors make me think of the beach, so that's where I let my imagination take me!

I used a waves stencil and some light teal ink on my card base and then cut a sun from some yellow cardstock. The coral color made me think flamingo since it's my mother's favorite animal. I used a layering stamp from The Ton to create my gorgeous flamingo on the banner die cut. I stacked all the images together and then adhered the sun flat on the card and used foam tape for my banner. I stamped my sentiment in bold, black ink and then added a sprinkling of my favorite Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish it off!

Jump for Joy!

Today's card was created for a friend from high school. I found out that she wasn't expecting any cards for her birthday, so I wanted to send her a little something to let her know she's being though of on her birthday.

I started my card by cutting a piece that was just smaller than an A2 card base and then blended blue ink into it using 2 shades of blue. I cut another piece using a Grassy Border die and then blended 2 shades of green into it. I heat embossed my sentiment in gold where it would show through the die cut I placed over the top.

I stamped all of my images and colored them with my Copics and then used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut them out for me. I adhered background pieces directly to a card base and then adhered my die cut frame on top using foam tape. I positioned my images where I wanted them and then used foam tape to pop them up as well. I finished it off with a little sprinkling of Sparkling Clear sequins.

The inside of the card is heat embossed in gold as well and states "Jump for Joy!".

I'm also going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stamp It!
