Hello, everyone! There's a brand new challenge from CASology today and it's sponsored by Stamplorations. The cue for this week is Cut.
I've used a fun die from Stamplorations for my focal point on this week's card.
I kept things very simple for this card because I just love this beautiful die cut. I used some watercolor paper and created a rainbow with my Gansai Tambi paints. I die cut my word from this rainbow and then also from a panel I had cut down with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I inlaid the rainbow die cut onto a card base. I love the way an inlaid die cut looks on a simple card. It keeps things flat and easy to mail (which is a huge deal to me!). I selectively inked a birthday sentiment stamp to complete my sentiment with some bold black ink. That's all there was to it!
Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see how you're inspired this week!
So pretty! Makes me think Disney too!ReplyDelete
I really love your CAS design, and how you used the colors of the rainbow for your alphas! Using watercolor c/s adds so much texture to your design, too! Such a fun card, Rachel!ReplyDelete
Oh my, Rachel, what could be more magical that a delicious rainbow die cut ... it's brilliant against all that glorious white! Delighted to be guest designing alongside you at CASology! Anita :)ReplyDelete

I totally agree, Rachel! Inset watercoloured die-cuts look so beautiful, and your design is truly magical! It also reminds me that I really need to put that Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX on my wishlist...!ReplyDelete
