I've used a fun die from Stamplorations for my focal point on this week's card.
I kept things very simple for this card because I just love this beautiful die cut. I used some watercolor paper and created a rainbow with my Gansai Tambi paints. I die cut my word from this rainbow and then also from a panel I had cut down with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I inlaid the rainbow die cut onto a card base. I love the way an inlaid die cut looks on a simple card. It keeps things flat and easy to mail (which is a huge deal to me!). I selectively inked a birthday sentiment stamp to complete my sentiment with some bold black ink. That's all there was to it!
Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see how you're inspired this week!

So pretty! Makes me think Disney too!
ReplyDeleteI really love your CAS design, and how you used the colors of the rainbow for your alphas! Using watercolor c/s adds so much texture to your design, too! Such a fun card, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Rachel, what could be more magical that a delicious rainbow die cut ... it's brilliant against all that glorious white! Delighted to be guest designing alongside you at CASology! Anita :)

ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Rachel! Inset watercoloured die-cuts look so beautiful, and your design is truly magical! It also reminds me that I really need to put that Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX on my wishlist...!
