Keeping Christmas Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello! I'm joining some delightfully talented ladies on the 25th of every month with a fun Christmas creation. I don't know about you, but I always find myself rushing to get things done in the couple of months leading up to Christmas. I'm trying to keep that from happening this year by putting together a couple of creations each month to put in my stash so I won't be crazy busy when Christmas rolls around.

It's the 25th, so it's time for a Christmas creation!

I wanted to keep things clean and simple. I started by cutting a panel that was the size of an A2 card base. I blended some Broken China distress ink into the bottom of the panel, gradually lightening the coloring to blend it into white as it reached about the 2/3rds point. I then ran the panel through my Big Shot with a Scalloped Edge die. I ran it back through the Big Shot with a circle die to create the window my puppy is sitting in. I stamped the sentiment to the side of the circle and then set the panel to the side.

I cut and folded my A2 card base and then blended a little Milled Lavender distress ink where it would show through the window from my panel. I then adhered the cut panel to the card base with some foam tape for dimension.

Next up was my image. I stamped it onto some spare white cardstock and then colored my little puppy with my copic markers. I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut it out (I hate fussy cutting!). I added a little bit of foam tape to the back of him and then adhered him so that the very bottom of the image overlapped my panel, but the main portion of the puppy was within my window. That's it! Super simple, but super cute!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit the other stops in the hop!
