Thanks a Bushel

Today's card was created for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - give thanks. I love apple images for some unknown reason and so I thought the Thanks a Bushel set would be perfect for this challenge, but I also wanted to do something unexpected, so I turned it into a shaker!

I started by die cutting the pieces to create my shaker. I stamped my focal image on the background piece and then colored it with my Copics. I finished the front piece by stamping my sentiment on the base of the snowglobe and then created a wood pattern with my Copics to mirror the future base of the card. I added an acetate window to the back of the front piece and then used foam tape to create space between the pieces. The sequins are from the Sparkling Clear mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

I wanted to keep the focus of the piece the shaker, so I stamped my base with Versamark ink and then heat embossed in clear to add a subtle pattern and texture. I used Be Creative Double Sided tape to adhere my shaker on top of the texture on the base (it's super strong!).

I didn't want to obscure the image too much, so I didn't add too many sequins to the shaker in order for the picture to be clear when the sequins were at the bottom of the globe. It still looks pretty when you shake it though!
