Good morning, everyone! I have some seriously exciting news! Today marks the return of The Challenge! We took an extended break, but we're back and better than ever!
I just love this photo! So beautiful! I took my inspiration from the beautiful rainbow and balloons (and then mixed them together) and the cupcakes. I think you can definitely see it in my card!
I decided to create a fun shaker card for this challenge. I started out by cutting a panel using my Madison Avenue die which creates a frame and leaves behind that center section that I stamped my balloons on. The stamping actually took the longest because I used a single balloon stamp and a ton of masking to create a sky full of balloons. When I was done, I colored them in with my Copics and adhered the center piece to a card base. I added my sparkling clear sequins over the top of it and then used foam tape to adhere my frame (with acetate attached to it) over the top of the balloon piece and the sequins. (I used two layers of foam tape to give it enough space for the sequins to shake freely.)
To finish off my creation, I stamped the pieces of my cupcake and used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut them out and then colored them in with my Copics. I stamped my sentiment on a black die cut banner using some Versamark ink and then heat embossed in white. I adhered the cupcake behind the banner and then adhered the whole piece to the bottom of my shaker card.
I'm so glad that The Challenge is back and I can't wait to see how you're inspired by our latest photo inspiration!
A totally gorgeous card! Jo x
