I decided to go with a belated birthday card for this week's cue. I always need one or two on hand because some months are a little birthday-heavy and I may miss one along the way. Having these on hand help me to be a little less late than I would be otherwise!
Then I stamped my image with black ink and colored it in with my Copics. I used the matching dies to cut it out. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I situated it on my card front using the rule of thirds and then added my elephant on top of it. I used foam tape for both the sentiment and the elephant.
That's it! Super simple, but super cute! Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to add your "late" creations to our challenge!
Love this sweet card, Rachel! Your little 'ellie' is so cute and I love how you added texture with the embossed background!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, Rachel! The coloring is awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou elephant cutie on the black strip makes a beautiful entrance for your sentiment. The background embossing folder adds just the right touch too. xx
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant card. I love the embossing folder. It really makes everything pop. Cx
ReplyDeleteHello Rachel and thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog for the card I submitted to the CASology "LATE" challenge.
ReplyDeleteI've been having some problems with Blogger about some of the comments on my blog (www.swimbikerunandstamp.blogspot.com) landing on my spam folder.
This has been so frustrating and I don't know how to fix it.
Your comment landed there and I immediately moved it to my inbox but, the comment did not appear on my blog and for that I'm so sorry.
I'm so grateful you took the time to stop by my blog to leave me such sweet words.
Again, I apologize for this problem.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
