The Challenge 69

It's a brand new week and there's a brand new challenge over at The Challenge's blog! We hope you'll join us in our fun this week!

I took my inspiration from the rainbow colors and the heart shape itself...

I used inlaid die-cutting to create this card. I cut a panel with a stitched rectangle die and then cut the linked hearts from the panel. I adhered the panel with the cut onto a card base and then proceeded to cut another linked hearts from black paper to give me the outline piece. I had saved those little white pieces from the original cut to color with my copics. It was so much easier to color each piece rather than cut from tons of different colored papers! I simply adhered the pieces into the card panel and you end up with a nice, smooth finish that goes through the mail without a problem. I finished it all off with a simple sentiment.

I'm also going to enter this into the Paper Smooches monthly challenge - black and white with a pop of color!
