Souper Cool

I needed a birthday card for a friend who also happens to be a chef. I combined my need with the current sketch from MFT Stamps and came up with this card for my friend!

I knew I wanted to use one of the chefs from the adorable Recipe for Happiness stamp set, so I started with that as my main concept. I turned the rectangle on the front of the card into a window and the rest fell into place. I created the floor with the Mini Hexagon background stamp and the wall with the large stripes from the Candy Stripe background. I cut a window from a piece of white paper using the larger of the two Peek A Boo Wonky Windows and then used the English Brick Wall stencil to sponge on some faint light brown ink. A small piece of patterned paper on the side and a heat embossed sentiment completed the look.

I'm also going to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stencil It!

  1. What a lovely card. I really love the colors you used and the frame. Nicely done!

  2. Oh my love this!! Love the stencilled bricks and your take on the sketch!!

  3. So cool! The whole card is fantastic especially the stenciled brick wall. Love it. Thanks for playing along Simon Says Stamp Stencil It challenge :)
