Souper Cool

I needed a birthday card for a friend who also happens to be a chef. I combined my need with the current sketch from MFT Stamps and came up with this card for my friend!

I knew I wanted to use one of the chefs from the adorable Recipe for Happiness stamp set, so I started with that as my main concept. I turned the rectangle on the front of the card into a window and the rest fell into place. I created the floor with the Mini Hexagon background stamp and the wall with the large stripes from the Candy Stripe background. I cut a window from a piece of white paper using the larger of the two Peek A Boo Wonky Windows and then used the English Brick Wall stencil to sponge on some faint light brown ink. A small piece of patterned paper on the side and a heat embossed sentiment completed the look.

I'm also going to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stencil It!
